Position Summary:
The Medical ASL Interpreter serves as a cultural and communication resource to both patients and providers by facilitating the successful delivery of patient care service to the deaf and hard of hearing population. Provides interpretation services following interpreter service professional practice code of ethics and standards of practice in healthcare, and in compliance with all Carle policies and procedures, particularly relating to patient confidentiality and informed consent. Maintains accurate daily records on all provision of services within department standards so as to provide required documentation as identified by the Carle Policies and Procedures.
