Position Summary:
The RFP Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely completion, coordination, communication and distribution of new and renewing Request for Proposal (RFP)/Requests for Information (RFI). Manages workflow and accuracy of the information used to complete these requests and is responsible for working with the Sales and Retention teams to ensure that responses are reflective of the strategy and initiatives being pursued by Health Alliance. Maintains and increases current Health Alliance group membership through assisting internally with assigned employer groups whereby this position becomes involved with and informed of the decisions related to any particular group's health care options.

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Related Field or Equivalent experience.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
None Specified

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two (2) Sales or Two (2) General - Customer Service or Two (2) Marketing and Two (2) Computers/Information Technology - PC Specialist. Experience using MS Word, Excel and database management.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Exceptional communication skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading. Ability to present complex information in a comprehensible manner (written and graphical). Experience interviewing others and working with teams to craft responses. Strong research skills. Solid teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Ability to adapt to changing job environment. Proficiency in PC?based Microsoft Office applications (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Ability to travel occasionally.

Essential Functions:

  • Works with the sales and service team to determine the appropriateness of the request and what strategy will be used to complete the request.
  • Thoroughly reviews the request for critical indicators and reviews the responses for appropriateness.
  • Ensures documents meet established standards for contents and quality.
  • Performs final QA process: edits content from various Subject Mater Experts (SMEs), adds final customizations and formats document for professional final product. Ensures that documents meet established standards for content and quality.
  • Tracks RFP metrics and contributes to departmental win rate goals.
