Position Summary:
Performs diagnostic general radiological procedures utilizing various imaging equipment to assist in diagnosis of disease and injuries. This may include Cat Scan and C-arm units. Performs general, OB and some vascular Ultrasound. May also perform breast Ultrasound. Responsible for screening, scheduling, and directing patients to appropriate locations and services within the Imaging Department. Maintains working knowledge of all Radiology and Vascular / Cardiac U/S exams and procedures. Assists with the training of new staff. Proficient in scheduling all Radiology and Vascular / Cardiac U/S exams. Must know all preps for each Radiology and Vascular / Cardiac U/S exams and procedures.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Diploma (Not HS) in Related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Sonography (S)(ARRT) within 1 year. IEMA Radiography License upon hire. Registered Vascular Tech (RVT)(ARDMS) within 1 year. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days. Radiography (R)(ARRT) within 1 year.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Positive attitude and demonstrated willingness to assess and improve work environment. Ability to perform multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow and a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.
