Position Summary:
Provides assessment, individual, family and group therapy to patients needing dual diagnosis treatment at Carle Addiction Recovery Center.

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Masters Degree in Counseling or Social Work

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Required: Illinois Licensure as a LCSW or LCPC. Preferred: Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC).

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Specific expertise in clinical assessment of alcohol and drug use, misuse, and recovery support. Must have 2 years' experience providing treatment to individuals with substance use history.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides assessment, individual, family and group therapy to patients needing dual diagnosis treatment at Carle Addiction Recovery Center
  • Addresses clinical case disposition assignments including patient transfers, referrals and discharges.
  • Completes assessments, treatment plans and progress notes for all assigned patients.
  • Participates in or provides clinical information regarding patients at treatment team meetings at CARC
  • Provides ongoing therapy services for patients, using techniques and interventions appropriate to the patients' needs.
  • Works with patient to develop treatment plan, including specific goals and objectives to be addressed in treatment
  • Completes appropriate documentation in medical record within timeframes established by departmental policy.
  • With permission of patient, provides communication back to referring providers about patient diagnosis, treatment plan, and progress.
