Regional Mechanic 3

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic 3 is responsible for independently troubleshooting and repairing all mechanical equipment and their associated systems in Carle facilities as well as fire protection and alarm systems and for performing preventative maintenance as required.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery certification required within six months of start date in position. Valid Driver's License.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Eight (8) Mechanics or Eight (8) Operations - HVAC Tech

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Understands how a wide variety of mechanical and minor electrical components function. Familiar with the operation of complex machinery and the ability to function as a member of a team. Able to install/maintain plumbing systems, air conditioning, refrigeration equipment and associated systems. Able to accomplish gas/electric welding, brazing and soldering. Able to work on a variety of hospital equipment including medical air equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Performs all essential job functions of Maintenance Mechanic II.
• Assists in general inventory control practices.
• Maintains equipment in safe and efficient working condition.
• Performs inspections of all maintenance equipment and reports their condition to the supervisor.
• Performs preventative maintenance / repair of equipment.
• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of: plumbing systems, pumps, sprinkler systems and HVAC systems.
