Facilities Mechanic

Position Summary:
The Mechanic is responsible for minor and preventative maintenance of all mechanical equipment and their associated systems at Carle RMH facilities as well as performing and coordinating employee moves,assembly and repair of office furniture and installation of signs, shelving, etc.

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Certificate or associate's degree in relevant field. Two (2) years experience in facility operations will be accepted in lieu of education.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Driver's License

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two (2) years of experience in facility operations.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Understands how a wide variety of mechanical and minor electrical components function. Familiar with the operation of complex machinery and the ability to function as a member of a team. Able to maintain plumbing equipment and associated systems. Needs to be open minded and willing to train on the job as required to perform daily operational tasks. Ability to understand building and clinic locations.

Essential Functions:

• Completes paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Performs preventative maintenance / repair of equipment.
• Conducts mechanical, and to some degree electrical, preventative maintenance checks
• Relocates personnel, furniture and equipment.
• Installs furniture, cabinetry and some medical equipment.
• Moves furniture and equipment.
• Performs assigned preventative maintenance duties.
• Assists in the coordination and execution of minor remodeling projects.
