Position Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) staff nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) who uses the nursing process to provide nursing care to patients receiving therapies within the multidisciplinary activities of the ICU Unit. The RN supervises work assignments of the nursing assistants and is responsible to the Nurse Manager. The RN will provide professional nursing care for all patients of the unit according to the established standards, practices and philosophies of Carle Richland Memorial Hospital (CRMH).

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Registered Nurse (RN) Illinois and Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Attend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of one year nursing experience preferred.
