Position Summary:
Oral Maxillofacial Surgery serves a diverse patient population, including trauma, head and neck cancer, cleft palate, biopsies, dental extractions, dental implants, pediatric and adult facial and jaw abnormalities. The procedural nurse performs assigned procedures and physical assessments. Evaluates and revises plan based on changes in patient status during procedural sedation. Administers moderate sedation in the presence, and by the order of a provider. Assesses patient's health history, performs medication reconciliation, assesses compliance with prescribed plan of care. Performs telephone triage and assesses patient's problems or concerns by phone. Assesses patient's learning needs and performs education for pre-operative and post-operative care.
Work Schedules can vary throughout the week to include: 6:45a-3:45p, 7a-4p, 7:30a-4:30p, 8a-5p.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Diploma (Not HS) in Nursing
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within 60 days. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two (2) or more years in a nursing role.
