Position Summary:
The Lab Services Director is responsible for the performance (both clinical and financial) and administrative activities related to lab services throughout the Carle Health system. These activities include, but are not limited to, strategic business planning, budgetary and financial oversight, human resource management, operations management, quality oversight, process/performance improvement activities, accreditation and regulatory compliance oversight, evidence-based system practice standardization, and utilization activities.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Associate's Degree in Medical Lab Technology or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) upon hire or Medical Technologist (ASCP) upon hire or Medical Technologist (HCPC) upon hire.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Five (5) years of lab management experience and proven leadership skills.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Computer experience in Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge in LIS or database management. Must be able to be decisive, make prudent financial decisions and manage a multi-million dollar budget. . Ability to conceive and write equipment, project or program proposals. Ability to analyze written, spoken and other sensory data used in decision making. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written abilities as well as exceptional interpersonal skills. Ability to function as a team player with other clinic departments and the hospital.
